In a time when true leadership is so desperately needed in our nations capital, I remain steadfast in my desire to become the next Congressman to represent the Third District of Kansas. Our great district deserves a servant leader who realizes who he works for and I am that man!

I commend Charlotte for her life of service to the people of our district, and I am confident she will continue to pursue avenues to do so in the future. Mrs. O’Hara is an outstanding Republican with strong conservative convictions, and I am excited to remain in dialogue with her in the future about the issues that truly matter to Kansans.

Let us keep pressing forward as we remember that the brightest days of this nation are still ahead of us and what we really need in Washington D.C. is a dose of common sense for these uncommon times.

Press Release | Charlotte O’Hara withdraws from 3rd District

Charlotte O’Hara is announcing today that she is withdrawing from seeking the Republican nomination for the House of Representative in the3rd Congressional District of Kansas.  O’Hara sited lackluster fundraising efforts as the contributing factor in her decision.  “Obviously this is an extremely critical time for our country and I was passionate about taking the voice of the people to Washington .  However, not only does it take time and passion for the issues, it requires a tremendous amount of money and the contributions simply were not coming into the campaign.”

AIP of Kansas Has Endorsed John Rysavy for U.S.Congress – 3rd District – State of Kansas

America’s Independent Party has officially endorsed the candidacy of John
Rysavy for the Republican nomination for the United States House of
Representatives 3rd District of Kansas.

America’s Independent Party (AIP) endorses candidates based on
principle, not party affiliation. As principled Independents, we intend to
change America’s political culture by example. Our purpose? The same
as the stated purpose of the United States Constitution: “To secure the
Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity.” That is why we are
pro-life and pro-liberty, and will always unswervingly support a strong and
secure America.

John Rysavy is a candidate who is running a campaign based on character
and courage. He has, from the beginning of his campaign, openly term
limited himself so as not to become a career politician. His hope would
then be to use the knowledge he has gained to come back and serve the
state of Kansas. John will work hard for responsible health care reform and
an energy policy that will not set back our nation’s security or economy. He
is a supporter of the FairTax (HR-25) and sees that as an important agenda
item for the people of the 3rd District. Not only will it promote economic
prosperity, but it will take the power from Washington and place it where the
founding father’s always intended for it to be, in the hands of the people.
John represents to AIP a candidate that is not only a social conservative,
but a fiscal conservative who understands that he is first and foremost a
servant of the people and sworn to uphold and protect the Constitution of
the United States of America.

On January 15, 2010 at 9:30 am, the Senate Judiciary Committee will conduct a hearing on the Kansas Sovereignty Resolution, SCR 1615. The hearing will be in the new Hearing Room on the 5th floor, South Wing of the Capitol building in Topeka.

It is imperative the Senate see grassroots support for the 10th Amendment if any legislation is to go forward this year. Please plan to come and show your support for SCR 1615. The hearing may take 90 minutes, but they may be the most important 90 minutes of this session.

RALLY:
Following the hearing, there will be a rally at the historic Dillon House located across the street just West of the Capitol at 404 SW 9th Street beginning at 11:30. Hear from Senator Mary-Pilcher Cook, Kris Kobach, Congressman Todd Tiahrt and other speakers about the battle ahead for Kansas Sovereignty.

Come join us as we pay tribute to the founding of the Republican Party at our annual Lincoln Day Dinner celebration.

Our guest speaker for the evening will be TOM TANCREDO. Tom is a former 2008 candidate for the US Presidency and four term Congressman from Colorado (1999-2009). He is the author of “In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America’s Border and Security”.

Greetings from the front line of the 3rd District of Kansas.  As many of you know, 2010 will be a year of intense politics and it is my hope that I will be the one to represent you in the US House for Kansas 3 as a term-limited Congressman who is first and foremost-accountable to you.  I am running to bring common sense back to Washington.  Our founding fathers never intended politics to be a life-long endeavor.  I, like many of you, watched as Hope and Change became a direct assault on the 10th Amendment and the start of Big Government 2009.  We can turn the tide, and I have become the only fiscal/social conservative who has pledged to term-limit himself.  I also will bring common sense to the health care debate with my 20 years of experience in the bio-tech industry.  I stand ready to turn back Cap & Trade which will blow the doors out with increased taxation with little promise of accomplishing anything.  You deserve to keep more of your own money.  Government can only inject money into the economy by taking it from you or borrowing from someone else.  I support the FairTax (HR-25) along with Congressional leaders in Kansas such as Tiarht/Jenkins/Moran.  This is the final push for the 4th quarter.  I can assure you that I am humbled by the support I have received, and I know that I have a tremendous group that will help in my grass-roots push to represent you.  Please consider helping me “shake-up” Congress with your donation of $50, $100, $250 or if you can, the legal maximum of $2400 dollars per individual. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy Hanuka  to all in the 3rd District of Kansas.  I am humbled and honored by all the trust and support you all have shown in me.  I can assure you that I realize that I am not a career politician.  I am one of you that was not driven by polls or phone calls to run, but rather a fervent desire to make a difference for YOU.

I have gone from the sidelines to the front-lines for you.

The Kansas- 3 US House seat is one that will be competitive, but at the end of the day, one that will unify Kansas as a Red state.  I will continue to be a champion for you regarding state’s rights, responsible health care reform and the passage of the FairTax at the state & Federal level.  We must stop the Cap & Trade bill and support our 2nd amendment rights.
